Scope and content

Series consists of the texts of speeches and presentations prepared and given by Yee in which he shared his views on Chinese-Canadian history, personal identity, writing, and multiculturalism. The series also includes Yee’s files on events, writing projects, and community projects such as the Saltwater City exhibit at the Chinese Cultural Centre; scripts written for the Pender Guy radio program on Vancouver Co-op Radio; and transcripts and sound recordings of oral history interviews with Chinese Canadian senior citizens in Vancouver, Kamloops, and elsewhere in British Columbia.
