Orpheum opening ceremony

Item is an audio reel containing a recording of the ceremonies for the civic re-opening of the Orpheum Theatre, Vancouver, on Saturday, 2 April 1977. The program includes speeches by political representatives Jack Volrich, Ron Basford, John Roberts, Grace McCarthy and Art Philips; a "show and tell" with supervising architect Ron Nelson and construction manager Roy McBride; and performances by the Suzuki Strings and Ginette Duplessis.
