Little Sister's vs. Big Brother

Item is a videocassette containing the documentary entitled "Little Sister's vs/ Big Brother", written and directed by Aerlyn Weissman. The film explores the history and mandate of Little Sister's Bookstore and traces the legal battle and court case against the Canada Border Services Agency. The court case centered around censorship, the labelling of books as 'obscene' by Customs Canada and the denial of their entry into Canada. The film includes footage of and interviews with Jim Deva. Bruce Smythe, Janine Fuller, Julie Stines, John Dixon, Gar Fisher, Patrick Califia-Rice, Joseph Arvay, Irene Faulkner, Sarah Schulma, Felice Newman, Frederique Delacoste, Pierre Berton, Jane Rule, Pat Califia, Bill Richardson, Mark MacDonald and Nadine Strossen. Made in Secret : The Story of the East Van Porn Collective

Item is a videocassette containing the documentary entitled "Made in Secret" featuring the East Van Porn Collective. The East Van Porn Collective is made up of the following members who appear in the film: Muffy LaRue, Hugh Jorgen, nerdgirl, J.D. Superstar, Monster, Mr. Pants, Professor University and Godfrey. The film includes footage shot from 1998 through 2004 and features meetings of the collective, screening parties, and filming of collective films showing the processes, mandate, work and history of the collective.

Kecia : words to live by

Item is a videocassette containing the documentary written, produced and directed by Peter von Puttkamer entitled "Kecia: Words to Live By." The documentary tells the story of Kecia Larkin, her experience contracting AIDs and her work raising awareness of the disease in First Nations communities, both urban and rural. The film includes interviews with Kecia Larkin, Myra Laramee, Randy Lewis, Dr. Jay Wortman, Sylvia Maracle, Gerry Ambers, and Keith Larkin. The film also includes footage taken at the Moravian First Nation Youth Conference and the G.L.F.N. Forum. The film was produced by Gryphon Productions Ltd. for the National Association of Friendship Centres.
