Biographical history
Donalda E. McRae was born in 1909 in British Columbia. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1930. She the held the position of Senior Girls Work Secretary of the Y.W.C.A. in Ontario for a number of years. In 1945 she moved back to Vancouver when she was appointed the Group Work Secretary of the Welfare Council of Greater Vancouver. She died in 1987.
Custodial history
The material was complied by Donalda E. McRae and remained in her custody until her death in 1987. It was presented to the Vancouver Museum by executrix Margaret Redmond and then transferred to the Archives by Ivan Sayers.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of scrapbooks, notebooks, correspondence, photographs, concerning the McRae family and to a lesser extent Donalda's career.
