Name of creator
W.F. Evans was born in Wales in 1874 and came to Vancouver in 1887. He was the builder and president of the Hotel Devonshire, and a founder of Dyke, Evans and Callaghan Music Company. He was an active supporter of the Vancouver Symphony Society. He died in 1949.
Scope and content
The collection consists of an official program of the Victoria Theater, "The Opera Glass", Victoria, 24 August 1894; a program for the Juvenile Opera Co., Victoria, 21-22 August 1895; an invitation to the Dedicatory Services of the New Methodist Japanese Mission Church at Jackson and Powell, 7 December 1906; and a program for the Men's Musical Club concert at St. Andrew's Church on 5 May 1919.
