Biographical history

Walter Donald MacKinnon Sage grew up in the areas of the West Point Grey and University Hill. His father, Walter Noble Sage, was a Professor of History at the University of British Columbia. Don Sage worked as a teacher in the Vancouver school system.

Scope and content

The collection consists of two typescript copies of Don Sage's recollections of his early life in the west side of Vancouver. "Memories of Old University Hill" (1979) and "Memories of Old West Point Grey" (1980) both describe the residents, homes and social life in these two areas between 1924 and 1940.
