Biographical history

The Vancouver Society of Change Ringers operates under the auspices of the Holy Rosary Cathedral, 646 Richards Street, in Vancouver. The Society concerns itself with the maintenance and operation of the bells and belltower at Holy Rosary Cathedral. In 1988 the Society struck a special committee, The Bell Restoration Committee, to put together a proposal and recommendations to church officials to enable restoration of the bells and tower.

Fonds consists of a Bell Restoration Proposal prepared by the Bell Restoration Committee of the Vancouver Society of Change Ringers. Included in the proposal are an index, summary, history and background, information on committee members, the proposal proper, cost summary and conclusions, terms of reference, minutes of meetings, correspondence, and noise by-law materials.
