This dataset contains locations and attributes of community food markets and farmers markets in the City of Vancouver.

Community food markets (previously referred to as pocket markets) are small markets for the sale of fresh and/or locally-prepared fruits and vegetables, aimed at making nutritious food more accessible. They are typically operated by community-based organizations.

Farmers markets are public markets at which farmers and other agricultural producers and small artisan food businesses sell directly to consumers.

While these community food markets and farmers markets are located within city boundaries, and some on City and Park Board lands, the vast majority are not administered by the City.

This dataset is maintained manually and data is provided by the specified managing organizations.
