Individuals in this photograph are (left to right): (back row) Hugh Neil MacCorkindale (degree recipient), Dr. Norman MacKenzie (U.B.C. President), (bottom row), Sherwood Lett (U.B.C. Chancellor), the Right Honourable Vincent Massey (degree recipient, Governor General of Canada), Joseph Robert 'Joey' Smallwood (degree recipient, premier of Newfoundland and Labrador).
