Aerospace Industry in BC [British Columbia]

Item is a short video highlighting business opportunities in British Columbia. It was created from the "Economic Development" (1992) 16mm, colour, raw footage (90 minutes); footage of the electronic and aerospace industry around Vancouver. From this and other footage from Yaletown Productions, two programs were edited for the Province of British Columbia, Ministry of Economic Development, Small Business and Trade. This short focuses on the aerospace industry in BC. Narration of this film compares the Snowbirds, Canada's military airshow team and goes on to explain the advantages of living and working in BC.

Almazon, Jose : Mexico and free trade

Item is an audio cassette containing a recording of a speech by Jose Almazon on the topic of Mexico and free trade. Note enclosed in cassette case; "Jose Antonio Almazon of the Electrical Workers Union of Mexico with a Mexican [perspective] in continental free trade. He is introduced by BC Fed head Ken Georgetti. Recorded on May Day 1991."

Community Radio Education Society : perspectives on development

Item is an audio cassette containing two episodes from the series Perspectives on Development produced and distributed by the Community Radio Education Society in conjunction with Vancouver Co-op Radio and Sound Options for Youth, a youth of colour radio production group. Side A contains an episode entitled 'Free Trade/Fair Trade'. Side B contains an episode entitled 'Women's Organizations Link Internationally'.

Item is an audio cassette containing the first of a two part recording of a speech by Glen Kealey in Saskatchewan. Note enclosed in cassette case: "Businessman and [disaffected] Conservative party member Kealey on how he was asked to pay a bribe to get a federal contract. Recorded by Citizens Concerned About Free Trade."
