Biographical history

Born May 18, 1921. The General Gordon School Band was founded by Arthur W. Delamont and later became the Kitsilano High School Boys' Band when its members left grade school for high school. In the following decades the band played concerts at home and abroad, winning solo, quartet and band competitions in Toronto, Chicago, New York and Brussels. Tom Woodman was a member of the band from 1936 until 1941, playing euphonium. He graduated from Magee High School and U.B.C. Woodman served in World War II and was discharged in 1945. He continued playing euphonium in bands as an adult. He died November 8, 2018.
