Mrs. B.T. Rogers (1869-1965, born Mary Isabella Angus), wife of Benjamin Tingley Rogers, a prominent Vancouver businessman and sugar manufacturer, migrated from England in July 1885 with her parents and settled in Victoria, B.C. She first visited Burrard Inlet in 1886.
