Biographical history
The New Westminster Board of Trade was incorporated in 1888. Early concerns dealt with by the Board included navigational aids to the Fraser River, local industry, improvements to transportation, shipping, and agriculture. In 1948, the Board adapted a bureau system of committees.

The fonds consists of minutes, 1906-1961; letterbooks 1888-1909; financial records 1883-1917 for membership; annual reports 1897, 1949-1974; and clippings 1923-1925.
