Biographical history

Neelands Bros. was a commercial photographic studio based in Nelson, B.C., though the firm worked in other cities, particularly Vancouver, B.C.

The firm was created by brothers Hamilton George Neelands (1859?-1935) and James F. Neelands (1870?-1908?). H.G. Neelands had previously been briefly involved in a partnership with C.S. Bailey in the Vancouver photographic firm Bailey and Neelands, before moving to Nelson, B.C.

A third brother, Samuel Neelands, was associated with the firm in the latter years of operations.
