Neelands Bros. was a commercial photographic studio based in Nelson, B.C., though the firm worked in other cities, particularly Vancouver, B.C.
The firm was created by brothers Hamilton George Neelands (1859?-1935) and James F. Neelands (1870?-1908?). H.G. Neelands had previously been briefly involved in a partnership with C.S. Bailey in the Vancouver photographic firm Bailey and Neelands, before moving to Nelson, B.C.
A third brother, Samuel Neelands, was associated with the firm in the latter years of operations.
Scope and content
The collection consists of photographs by Neelands Brothers of Nelson, B.C. of the Canadian Pacific Railway route in B.C. and Nelson.
