The tape also contains the first part of a performance by Charlie Chin on Nov. 28, 1981 at the Chinese Cultural Centre. This is tape two of three. Contents were used on Pender Guy programs # 279 and 280.

Collector/curator's description reads: “Sept. 9, 1939, Vancouver. Group photo of Ching Won Music Society. Taken to commemorate an award they won for their participation in the ‘One Bowl of Rice’ fundraising drive in September 1939 to aid Chinese war refugees. Held at the same time as the Moon Festival events, the ‘One Bowl of Rice Drive’ campaign was organized by Vancouver's Chinese community and collected $25,000 in funds. The festival included a bazaar, a Chinese opera performance, dance, and an art exhibition. The banner reads: ‘golden sound and jade vibration’ meaning resounding clarity, harmonious. ‘Golden sound’ represents kindness, and "jade vibration" represents sageness, so it can also be a metaphor for people's knowledge and ability to learn. Beatrice Jai (Lew Yew Wah) b. 1928 is the young girl seated at the front. Her future husband, Raymond Jai (Jai Yew Kwong) b. 1916, is seated directly in front of the banner on the left side.”

Item is an amateur film documenting a performance by the Silver Spring Blue Grass Band at the 1975 Vancouver International Stone Symposium in VanDusen Gardens. The film contains footage a crowd of people watching a concert being given on an earthen mound at the symposium site, people talking, and a phototographer taking pictures of the people and musicians.

Film consists of raw footage shot at Expo 86; shows: pavilions, performers, people watching, the Canada Pavilion, the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre, the Plaza of Nations, neon signs at the Imax theatre, cowgirls dancing, the view from a monorail car, the monorail, and crowds waiting to get on the monorail, inside the Egypt pavilion, people getting splashed riding the Cariboo Log Chute roller coaster, line-ups, crowds, people riding the Parachute Drop ride, and the view from the drop ride. Silent film.

Film consists of raw footage taken at Expo86 and includes scenes of the Minolta Space Drop ride, food carts, crowds, the gondolas and the view from the gondola ride, people walking on the seawall, RCMP officers, the RCMP musical ride (outdoor venue, crowds seated on grass), the floating McDonalds (and the McDonalds Tidy Tug picking up floating garbage), a beer garden, music, pavilion signs, Expo 86 grounds and the outside of several national and provincial pavilions.
