File consists of correspondence, financial records, newspaper articles, three newspapers and a leaflet. Includes correspondence between L.D. and Ted Taylor. L.D.'s letters discuss his plans to run in the 1936 Vancouver mayoral election and his opinion of the current mayor, his defeat in the election, and his publication of "The New Deal" newspaper in 1937. Ted's letters discuss his positions with the "Hollywood Reporter" and Columbia Pictures and outline family activities. The file also contains the first three issues of "The New Deal," March 26, April 2 and April 9, 1937; copies of Ted Taylor articles sent to L.D. for inclusion in the paper; records for a joint Bank of Montreal account between Ted and L.D.; and a Greater B.C. Association leaflet.

File contains very acidic and brittle papers. Some papers require flattening
