Biographical history
Ken Hiebert was born in Chilliwack, B.C. in 1946. He lived in Vancouver from 1963 to 1976, and from 1987 to 2007. Mr. Hiebert took up political and social justice activism in 1966, in response to the Vietnam War. He remained active on a variety of causes, including women's rights, minority rights, peace, anti-war, economic justice, labour, the environment, and international solidarity.

Collection consists of handbills, leaflets, newsletters, pamphlets, posters, news clippings, correspondence, and some meeting materials including minutes, agendas, etc., The material documents Mr. Hiebert's involvements in local, national, and international activism causes, including the peace and anti-war movements, women's rights and access to abortion, the environment, free trade, labour unions, international solidarity, anti-racism, anti-facsism, etc.
