Scope and content
Collection consists of a broad sheet signed by "one of many liberals" which strongly condemns Sir Wilfred Laurier's position on the conscription issue during the First World War; a preliminary survey, not drawn to scale, of the cemetery across from McMillan Island, which includes sketches of gravestones and lists of inscriptions, prepared by Mrs. Joanne Hughes, 2 April, 1972; and an itemised account of the building costs of a four room bungalow built 1940-1941 by Joseph Lawrence near Vancouver for F.R. Hughes, his son-in-law. There is also a photograph of the house at 5734 Bruce Street, Vancouver.
