Name of creator
James A. Moody was the owner of General Engine Sales & Service Ltd. in 1971. He had spent most of his working life involved in the Coal Harbour marine industry. In 1971 he wrote a letter disputing an article in the Vancouver Province about the development of Coal Harbour.
Scope and content
The collection consists of a photocopy of the letter of Mr. Moody and background information, including an announcement of the takeover of Hoffar-Beeching Shipyards Ltd. by Boeing Aircraft, and photographs of the Boeing plant.
Immediate source of acquisition
Donated by James Moody, who retained the originals, in 1971.
