The fonds consists of journals, correspondence, vital events records, photographs, stocks and shares, personal documents, and collected publications. The journals document Mr. Wilson's travels to Canada, British Columbia, and the Yukon, his efforts to find daily employment, sustenance, and accommodations during the years of the Great Depression, leisure and recreational pursuits, his personal reflections on his health, well-being, and general situation, and observations of his daily surroundings. The correspondence reflects the concerns and daily lives of his immediate family (parents and siblings) back in Liverpool, and his relationships to them, as well as general reflections on world affairs, particularly World War II. The collected publications include two on the topic of transvestism.

The City of Vancouver Archives library collection is meant to complement our archival holdings. The collection's primary purpose is to support research at the Archives by staff and patrons. It contains books on British Columbia history especially those that focus on the history of the Greater Vancouver area and the people who live and work there. Special topics in the collection include books on forestry and fishing and other books that explore the economic history of the City of Vancouver. The collection also includes current Archival practical and academic resources as well as more than five hundred monographs collected and annotated by the first City Archivist, Major James Skitt Matthews.

The collection contains a photocopy of the script to a slide show presentation entitled "Jewish Pioneers in British Columbia" prepared by Cyril E. Leonoff of the Jewish Historical Society of B.C., in September 1971, a photocopied newsclipping history of the Jewish community in Vancouver written by Julius Shore in 1971 and published in "The Bulletin", and miscellaneous clippings on Jack Beder.
The fonds includes Bell's birth and baptismal certificates together with his timber scaler licence application and his memoirs; there are also pencil sketches and sketch maps to illustrate the memoirs. Included is a photograph of a diary page.

Collection consists of copies of the programs issued for the 85th Convention of the I.T.U., held at Vancouver 16-23 August 1941, the proceedings of the meeting of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the I.T.U., held at Vancouver 18-23 August 1941, and an outline history of Union No. 226 by Mr. George Bartley. The collection also contains copies of "Typo Times", a weekly news sheet issued by the Union during the Vancouver Province strike of 1946-1948. In addition, there are broadsheets issued at the time of the 1946-1948 strike and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Union, as well as invitation cards issued on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the I.T.U. No. 226.

The second volume is a collection of "Rhymes & Sketches to illustrate the Cleveland Dialect" by Mrs. G.M. Tweddell, 1875. The third volume is an "International Official Souvenir, Tenth Biennial Convention, Brotherhood Railway Carmen of America", 1907.
