File is a scrapbook given to L.D. Taylor by Ted and Ken Taylor, consisting of newspaper clippings documenting L.D.'s activities, political cartoons (clipped and original), correspondence, ephemera, and photographs. Material was accumulated by L.D. Taylor and is both glued into the book and filed loosely between pages. Includes the first issue of The New Deal (March 26, 1937), a photograph album titled "No. 2163 Monroe St." containing eight photographs (CVA 1477-411) and one loose photograph (CVA 1477-412).

File consists of Ted Taylor's incoming and outgoing correspondence, including correspondence with family and friends, financial records, studio passes, cards, newspaper clippings, publicity and other notes, notices, postcards, one photograph and other material. File contains letters to and from L.D. Taylor, including wires relating to L.D.'s running for mayor in 1934 and a letter expressing his political and social views, as well as newspaper clippings concerning L.D. File also contains correspondence between Ted Taylor and the American Newspaper Guild concerning the possiblity of creating a Los Angeles guild, a report on an organization conference for a newspaper guild, and a copy of the Constitution of the Newspaper Guild of Los Angeles County. Also included in the file are cards and greetings from Tom Mix, the Hallam Cooley Agency, Thelma Hart, John Rohlfs, Reginald Owen, RKO Studios, Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Pictures.

File consists of Ted Taylor's personal and professional correspondence, cards, studio passes, publicity and other notes, four photographs on postcards, newspaper clippings and a program. Professional correspondence includes correspondence relating to Taylor's work on the "Hollywood Reporter," and letters from Larry Blochman and Ted Le Berthon. Personal correspondence consists of letters to and from family and friends. File contains correspondence to and from L.D. Taylor and related notes and newspaper clippings. This includes a letter from L.D. describing his daily routine and the situation in Vancouver under the current mayor, correspondence from Ted to L.D. concerning Ted and Ken's visit to Vancouver, Ted's notes regarding L.D.'s family history and notable events in his life, and notes concerning Ted and Ken's activities during their visit to Vancouver. The file also contains records relating to Octavia Beaton's health, correspondence of Octavia, and a report card for Mary Taylor. The file also contains several cards and greetings to Ted Taylor from members of the motion picture industry, including Pinky Tomlin, Ben Jackson, Menifee Johnstone, Nat Levine, Carl Laemmle Jr., Al Martin, Francis Lederer, John Rohlf and Bill (William) Pine.

L.D.'s letters also include some discussion of provincial politics, his plans for the development of northern British Columbia, his desire to travel to the Peace River area, and the potential annexation of part of Canada to the U.S. Ted's letters discuss work, family activities and the birth of Mary Louise Taylor's son Peter. File also includes some Octavia Beaton correspondence.
