Item is a sponsored production produced by Yaletown Productions Inc. Item consists of ten, two minute, "Province Reports," with Fred Latrimouille, produced by Yaletown Productions for the government of British Columbia's "B.C. Enterprise" program. In the order that they appear on the tape they are:

Province Reports: "Superfish," "Pizza," and "High Tech"

Item consists of three, two minute, "Province Reports," with Fred Latremouille, produced by Yaletown Productions for the government of British Columbia's "B.C. Enterprise" program. The first two reports have a clip of Bob McClelland, Minister of Labour. The first, "Enterprise and new ideas," discusses new industry in the province, specially featuring Atlantic fish farming. The second, "Enterprise and export," talks about B.C. exports and features a company in Richmond that exports pizza crusts to the USA. The third, "No.3 High tech," or "Enterprise and high tech," showcases the technology industry in B.C. featuring MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates and a short statement from Pat McGeer, Minister of Universities, Science and Communications.

For Twenty Cents a Day

Item is a documentary film documenting work shortages during the Depression of the 1930s and the attempts to deal with the unemployed, in particular young men. The film discusses the establishment of relief camps and projects, where men were paid twenty cents per day; the founding of organizations such as the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF), Workers' Unity League, and Relief Camp Workers' Union; general unionization and protest of the unemployed, including the On To Ottawa Trek, Regina Riot, sit-in strike from May to June 1938 at the Vancouver Main Post Office, Vancouver Art Gallery and Hotel Georgia, and the resulting Bloody Sunday of June 19. Archival footage and photographs complement the narration. The film includes interviews with Syd Thompson, a participant in the On To Ottawa Trek and later a leader of the IWA Vancouver local, Steve Brodie, leader of the Vancouver sit-in, and poet Dorothy Livesay.

Item is an unedited recording of a CBC television talk show pilot which features discussions with influential British Columbians, hosted by Charmaine Crooks. The first guest, artist George Littlechild, speaks about the artist's role in society; his past in foster homes and racism he experienced; his search for his own cultural identity; his Scottish and Plains Cree background; his art and inspirations; his spirituality; and his role models. The second guest, community activist and affordable housing advocate/developer Jim Green, speaks about his position as Community Development Co-ordinator for the Ministry of Employment and Investment and political positions as a means to an end; his upbringing in the southern United States; his efforts to prevent evictions in Vancouver's east end prior to the 1986 Expo; his run for mayor, and his accomplishments and vision for the future. The remainder of the tape captures Charmaine Crooks rehearsing and/or discarded takes, introduction and exit takes eventually used in the edited show, and voiceovers for video profiles.
