Film consists of raw footage taken at Expo86 and includes scenes of the Minolta Space Drop ride, food carts, crowds, the gondolas and the view from the gondola ride, people walking on the seawall, RCMP officers, the RCMP musical ride (outdoor venue, crowds seated on grass), the floating McDonalds (and the McDonalds Tidy Tug picking up floating garbage), a beer garden, music, pavilion signs, Expo 86 grounds and the outside of several national and provincial pavilions. Film documents areas of the VanDusen Garden including the parking lot, administration building, main entrance, pavilions, greenhouses, MacMillan Bloedel Place, several ponds and gardens. The film also includes footage of bees, mallard ducks, Canadian geese, black swans, blue herons, and children feeding geese. The film also documents street scenes, tourist attractions, and prominent buildings in Gastown. It features footage of the replica SS Beaver at its moorings, shops including The Coggery and a silver and goldsmith, a busker with a banjo, a mural and signs for Brother Jon's Restaurant (1 Water Street), the Old Spaghetti Factory, a wooden bhudda statue outside of a store, the Europe Hotel, Steam Clock, Gassy Jack statue, Vancouver Harbour Centre, and views of Water Street.

Item is an amateur film documenting the 1975 Vancouver International Stone Symposium at VanDusen Gardens. The film contains footage of opening day set up, stones being worked on with hand and electric tools and a diamond saw, the Rubin Landers' Jazz Group playing on an earthen mound, and crowds viewing the artists at work. Artists believed to be featured include Wolfgang Kubach, Maria Kubach-Wilmsen, Michael Prentice.
