Film is a promotional and informational short produced by New Horizon Films (with support from the NFB) for for the Department of National Defense. The film follows a set of new recruits through officer training at the facility in Chilliwack, B.C.
Directed and photographed by Robert S. Rodvik, sound recording and editing by Michael J. Collier, technical advisors: Captain Stu Harper and Captain Grant Russell, music composed by Captain John Montminy, Narrated by Chad Miller, music performed by Canadian Forces Naden Band, Esquimalt, B.C.
"Can you be a leader?" won a Certificate of Excellence - Training at the U.S. Industrial Film Festival.

Item is one inch film to tape transfer of raw footage shot for the one hour television network documentary "Flight of the Sky hawks : 20th anniversary." The film features Canada's military parachute team, the Sky hawks. There is some aerial footage of the team in formation in free-fall and also shots of the team in combat gear with parachutes designed for combat and not for show. Footage is silent.

Item is a one hour television network documentary featuring Canada's aerobatic air team, the Snowbirds. Narrated by Leslie Nielsen. The documentary begins by following the eight men trying out for the four spaces in the 1990 Snowbirds team, then discussing the history of aviation in Canada and the Canadian military, the majority of the film focuses on the training of the Snowbirds team and the outreach and shows they perform. Ending with the final show of the 20th anniversary season. Digital edited master (no supers). Version has blackout breaks for commercials. Item is a copy of "Canada's magnificent snowbirds - 20th Anniversary" one hour television network documentary featuring Canada's aerobatic team, the Snowbirds. The documentary begins with an overall set up of a child wanting to grow up to be a Snowbird pilot. The story of the Snowbirds begins with try outs for four new Snowbirds pilots and moves on to the history of aerobatic flight teams in Canada. Using a mix of narration, interviews and historical footage the history of the Snowbirds is laid out and then the narration moves into practice, training and the designing of the new airshow routine for the 1991, 20th Anniversary, season. Leaving the training base in Moose Jaw, S.K. the Snowbirds team travels to Comox, B.C. for an airshow. The documentary continues with an overview of the role of the Snowbirds and their goals on their public relations and air show role. Themes touch on why the Snowbirds have lasted as long as they have and why they will continue on into the future. In addition to shots of crowds and performances two airshow promoters from the USA are interviewed. Back in Moose Jaw at the end of the 1991 season there is a reunion of alumni pilots. The documentary ends with a final performance of the 20th season and a child on a beach inspired to someday be a Snowbird pilot. Narrated by Leslie Neilsen. Cassette version edited from D-2. This is the superless cassette version - no blacks or bumpers.
