The first four men in the back row are identified as the 1909 champion four oared crew (from left to right) R. Norman C. Sawers (bow) S.C. 'Bimbo' Sweeny (str) B.R. Gale (3) G. Nelles Stacey (2). The man squatting in front holding his hat is J. Fyfe Smith, the Vancouver Rowing Club captain. The other men are unidentified.
