Item is an amateur film beginning with footage of a man playing with dogs; wild horses running; Margaret Magoffin driving a car; Sam Magoffin, Margaret and various people and dogs standing on the front stairs of a house; and Sam and three men exiting the S.S. Magoffin & Co. Railway Contractors Tie Department building (possibly in Prince George).
The film also includes footage of Prince Rupert, B.C., including the Prince Rupert Hotel and Sam and Margaret Magoffin on Sixth Avenue with several of the downtown buildings in the background. Also included is footage taken along the waterfront and from aboard the S.S. Prince Rupert, as well as views of the city taken from a high vantage point. Buildings shown in this footage include the fire hall and elevator.
Also contained in the film is footage of a parade in Vancouver taken from a bird’s eye viewpoint. The parade includes footage of mounties on horses, sailors, a pipe band, clowns, animals, and many floats, including floats for Point Grey, the City of Vancouver, the Loyal Order of Moose, Burns Shamrock Brand Products, Vancouver Ice Cream, and a stampede. The film also includes several minutes of footage of a rodeo at Hastings Park, including bronco and bull riding and chuckwagon racing activities. The film also shows Sam and Margaret with other people in front of the Court House and having a picnic on Grouse Mountain. Also included is footage of a military parade by Victory Square, a military review, and a medals ceremony; Mayor L.D. Taylor is shown in attendance at this event.

Item is a film made up of several films that have been spliced together. The film documents the Wood family’s trip to England and contains footage of the steamship journey, the Queen’s Guard parading, a war memorial, St. James’ Park, Buckingham Palace, the Thames, horse races, family scenes, a church, and a wedding. Film also documents locations and events in Vancouver, including the exterior and interior of Wood’s Jewellery Store (Arthur Wood & Co., 2511 Main Street), family gatherings at a house, possibly the Wood family home at 1656 Robson Street, and a troop of cavalry riding in dress uniforms. The stock date years of the film are in the following order: 1926, 1931, 1929, 1931 and 1932.

Item is an amateur film which captures Remembrance Day proceedings in Victoria, British Columbia. A ceremony is being held on the grounds of the British Columbia Parliament Buildings and the Inner Harbour area, where soldiers and veterans in ceremony stand around the War Memorial. The soldiers march and line up, various men in formal dress take turns placing a wreath at the base of the statue (including Premier Duff Pattullo), and a military band plays. The film closes with a blurry shot of Margaret.

Item is an amateur film which captures a ship full of Canadian soldiers departing. The soldiers wave toward those seeing them off from the docks; some soldiers dangle their feet from the side of the ship, while others climb for a better view. A band can also be seen playing before the ship departs from its berth.

Item is a film which contains some of Douglas Scott's footage of the royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Victoria, British Columbia, in May of 1939. The film captures a car approaching Government House; Margaret by the water; intertitles reading "We leave their majesties steaming Eastward, back to their family at the Heart of the Empire - while Canadians from the Atlantic to Pacific unite in loyalty and affection for our Sailor King and his gracious consort," and "The Straits of Juan de Fuca : In the foreground Canada - in the background the towering Olympic Range in the United States - two great nations living together in peace and Amity;" a large pole being painted by a man elevated by a pulley; the fountains and structures of the British Columbia Parliament Buildings illuminated for the royal visit; the parade, a marching band, and Mounties; a golf game; flowers; and youths riding horses. The end of the film captures soldiers marching.

Item is a postcard printed with an image of a group of army members sitting and standing in rows in front of the corrugated metal external wall of a building. Handwritten text at the bottom of the image is difficult to read in its entirety. One part of the top line reads "1st Canadian Reserve." One of the two handwritten annotations on the verso reads, "Taken at Shorncliff Reserve Camp - 1915, before leaving again for France in Sept after our wounds healed. Keep for your records." The other annotation reads, "See letter from Frank Martin July 30, 1965".
