The photograph shows L.D. Taylor smoking a cigar while reading an issue of The New Deal newspaper. A pen has been used to alter the newspaper's title to "A New Era." An inscription below the photograph reads: "British Columbia and Yukon Territory Ambassador at large (self appointed). Editor of this publication and manager of the proposed Information Bureaux , was Mayor of Vancouver B.C. for 11 years."
