Individuals identified are: Managing Director [of the Canadian Australasian Line] holding ring with the ship's name on it and his wife holding flowers, Mayor L.D. Taylor standing to the right of the Director, and the Mayor's secretary on far right. Inscription by Taylor on the verso of the photograph reads: "Arrival of greatest power boat in the world."

File consists of images of early Vancouver, including Gastown, Hastings Mill, Granville Street, Burrard Inlet, Prospect Point, the first City Council, arrival of the first C.P.R. train, Cordova Street, and Mount Pleasant.
