A revitalization plan

"Vancouver's Townsite area, in many ways, is the heart of our city. For here is the original city - the Townsite. Here is where it all began a hundred years ago. And today the vitality of the Townsite is a measure of our commitment to the city as a whole. The Townsite is composed of four unique sectors; Gastown, the Harbour Foreshore, Chinatown, and the Hastings Pender Corridor. Each sector has its own special character, but together the four also make up a cohesive area within the downtown peninsula. The purpose of the Vancouver Townsite Renaissance Corporation is to bring together the area's diverse interests in a united effort so that they can protect and enhance each sector's individual features. To preserve and revitalize this diversity, we must join together . . . . "
