Projects no. 1 and 2 maps and plans

File consists primarily of maps pertaining to redevelopment project 1, areas A and D, but also contains two maps from project 2. Maps include identification plans of property to be acquired; boundaries of clearance areas; general and detailed redevelopment plans; and maps showing the layout of existing and proposed utilities.

Item is a map created to depict utilities in the proposed project 2 area 6. The map shows fire alarms, sewer lines, water lines, gas lines, underground telephone lines, underground power lines, underground vaults, and curbs. Also noted are existing buildings which may be cleared in future projects, existing buildings in immediate vicinity of area a-6 which may remain, existing subdivisions to be cancelled, easement boundaries, approximate elevations at street intersections, approximate locations at contours and areas for disposal ("private development" and "public housing").

Commercial map of Greater Vancouver and district [assessment districts]

Item is a printed map of greater Vancouver which has been used as a base map. The base map is the 1924 version of the Commercial Map of Greater Vancouver and District. On this copy has been drawn the boundaries of districts, numbered 1-12; inside the drawn boundaries are each district's area in acrea, population and assessed value of property. While the base map is of the pre-amalgamation municipalities, the assessment districts (?) cover the entire post-amalgamation extent of Vancouver.

Plan of government subdivision at Point Grey, B.C.

Item is a sheet which has been excised from the Journal of the Town Planning Institute, December 1925 issue. The sheet consists of two street layout plans and an illustration. The street layout plans show current and proposed revised street layouts for the area of Point Grey bounded by Highbury Street, Eighth Avenue, Imperial Street, and Tenth Avenue. The illustration depicts the view north from the proposed development area.

The map shows relief and elevations of Vancouver. It depicts streets, parks, and railways, and residential and industrial areas.
The annotations in black ink trace parts of the map: names, railways, and the coast line. The amendments also show Cases and Persons of Domiciled Residents in the Vancouver Area, in May 1934. The map also lists statistics of approximate Cases and Persons of Transient Families and Single Women, and Single Homeless Men.
Pensions and Compensation statistics are also compiled for: Mothers Pensions, Old Age Pensions, War Pensions, amd Workmen's Compensation as of the population of Vancouver in 1931.
The westernmost boundary of the map is Boundary Road and the easternmost boundary is the University of British Columbia while the northernmost is the Burrard Inlet and the southernmost is Sea Island and Lulu Island.
