Vancouver School Board : annual reports

Series consists of published annual reports issued by the Vancouver School Board (as well as the Point Grey Board of School Trustees and the South Vancouver Board of School Trustees), which are part of the City Publications Collection. Earlier reports are quite detailed, e.g., all the teachers' names are included. The 1903 report includes "a Brief Historical Review from the first establishment of Granville School, 1873". Arranged chronologically.

The story follows a couple living in New York trying to impress their neighbours and boss by telling everyone that they were going on an African vacation that the Johnson's could not actually afford. Hilarity ensues as they hide out in their own home and various neighbours who have keys to their apartment take advantage of the 'empty' home for the two week vacation period. The small family grows closer in crisis and decide to make some life changing choices.

Sky hawks [tape # 34]

Item is raw footage shot for a one hour television network documentary featuring Canada's military parachute team, the Sky hawks. Includes footage of the Sunchild O'Chises School sign, the Sky hawk team entering the school with an RCMP Officer, a few spectators watch, in the school gym the Sky hawks talk to school children and show them an anti-drugs video, after the video the Sky hawks demonstrate how the parachutes work and interact with the children in smaller groups, an interview with Captain Mark A. regarding the qualities necessary to be a part of the Sky hawks team, public relations is an important factor, Mark also talks about the Sky hawks performance schedule, in the background Sky hawks team members are loading an airplane, tape ends with close-up shots of the men loading the airplane.
