Item is a photograph of a portrait composite created by Wm. Notman & Sons, with a background engraving by Eugene L'Africain. Cut-out, full body portraits of young men in scholar's robes were combined with the engraved background to create the original composite photograph: this is a photographic copy. The only identified individual is W.J. Bowser LL.B, (bearded man, seated third to the right of stairs).
