Fonds consists of records arising from the activities of the Vancouver Museums and Planetarium Association.
Fonds includes constitutions and bylaws; minutes of meetings; financial records such as financial statements, budgets, and membership fee receipts; annual reports; correspondence and memoranda; guest books; records of the President and of the Director, including reports, policy statements, contracts, budgets, correspondence; and items collected by the Association, such as newspapers and clippings, pamphlets, photographs, manuscripts and books, and other materials.
As a result of the close relationship between the Vancouver Museums and Planetarium Association and the Vancouver Museum, some records relating to the Vancouver Museum are contained within this fonds. This is the case especially for records created before 1958, during which time the Vancouver Museums and Planetarium Association was responsible for the everyday management of the Vancouver Museum.

Fonds consists of records which document a wide range of functions and activities of The British Columbia Sugar Refining Company, Limited, its holding company, BC Sugar Refinery, Limited, and various subsidiaries. The functions and activities include: corporate governance and capitalization; shareholder relations; acquisition, management and oversight of subsidiaries and other investments; liaison with stakeholders, including other sugar manufacturers; research on sugar beet production and sugar refining; international sugar trading; development and maintenance of production facilities; promotion of sugar use by consumers; and financial, human resources, and other administrative activities that supported the operations of the Company.

The records include correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, a variety of types of financial records, laboratory analysis and refining records, photographs of staff and facilities, marketing artwork, publications, and technical and architectural plans of various refineries and mills. Much of the audio visual material documents the sugar industry, with emphasis on refineries and sugar plantations owned by BC Sugar and its subsidiaries.

The collection consists of a letter dated 2 October 1794, which was written by Vancouver while on board the "Discovery" in Nootka Sound. It was addressed to the father of a midshipman in the crew. The letter deals with business matters, but Vancouver also notes that they were unable to find any northwest passage and therefore they had no reason to remain in the area.

Taylor sousfonds (1873-1946), Ted Taylor sousfonds (1919-1959), and the O.J. Pierce (1831 -1939) sousfonds. The fonds includes records relating to the professional activities of family members, including L.D. Taylor's mayoral career and newspaper and mining business interests; Ted Taylor's career as a journalist and Hollywood press agent; Ken Taylor's career as a journalist and his service in the Second World War; and O.J. Pierce's career as an architect and his American Civil War service. The second volume is a collection of "Rhymes & Sketches to illustrate the Cleveland Dialect" by Mrs. G.M. Tweddell, 1875. The third volume is an "International Official Souvenir, Tenth Biennial Convention, Brotherhood Railway Carmen of America", 1907.
