Topical files

Series consists of a collection of articles, photographs, films newsclippings and other materials relating to various individuals, places, local business and subjects, which are connected with the history of Kerrisdale area. These files were collected not only to fulfill the Society’s mandate of preserving history of Kerrisdale, but also to prepare for the Society’s project of publishing a history book of Kerrisdale.

The fonds consists of administrative records, project files, correspondence, minutes and reports documenting the operation of the Society. The fonds also contains historical photographs, topical reference files, films and oral history tapes which were collected by the Society to preserve historical information of Kerrisdale community.

The fonds is arranged into the following series: Herbert Elwyn Addington Photographs (1949-1981), Administrative files (ca. 1983-2005), and Topical files (ca. 1900-1995).

The Mole House

The house became the clubhouse of Point Grey Golf and Country Club from 1922 to 1964. Henry Mole's son John and wife Annie were sitting on the porch with 2 of their children, Winifred and Dorothy.
