The collection consists of one volume containing "Inquest Papers of Vancouver Fire, June 13, 1886. Presented to City of Vancouver by the Vancouver Daily Province, June 13, 1951"; these records are the Coroner's Precept, the Inquisition, and records of evidence submitted. The inquest was held on 14 June 1886, summoned by J.C. Hughes, Coroner, and conducted before twelve jurors. The victims were John Craswell and others.

Collection consists of information acquired by Adrien Mansvelt, the Consul General of the Netherlands stationed in Vancouver in the early 1970s. The records were largely collected on behalf of the City of Vancouver Archives in agreement with the City Archivist at the time, and therefore do not form a personal collection. The records relate to the ancestors of George Vancouver and his family connection to the van Coeverden family of the town of Coevorden in the Netherlands.

The collection consists of photographs, prints, magazine articles, pamphlets, maps and plans. Most of the material has been reproduced from various repositories in Europe.

The films are primarily home movies that depict a range of social activities in which the Hamber family was involved. Two films are newsreel items documenting a polo game for BC Challenge Trophy and the visit of Governor General his excellency the Right Honourable the Earl of Bessborough, PC, GCMC, and her excellency the Countess of Bessborough to the Britannia Mines on board of Eric Hamber's yacht.

Fonds consists of two copies of a 37 page autobiography, entitled "My father's boyhood in Vancouver," and relating to the early childhood and adolescent experiences of Ian C. Nicholson. Manuscript was written by Ian in 1970, at the age of 71, and covers the period 1905 to the end of World War I. Manuscript includes considerable detail on turn of the century life in Kitsilano point. Topics covered include his education experiences, playing on the Kitsilano Indian Reserve, fish canneries and fishing industry along the south shores of English Bay, and early Vancouver companies and landmarks. Manuscript also covers the business activities - primarily printing and a movie theatre - of his father James C. Nicholson.

Records consist of a photographic survey of the interior and exterior prior to renovations, a two-part feasibility report prepared for the City in 1974, and architectural drawings of the courthouse from original construction through a number of additions and renovations to the early 1970s.
