The sponsor was Philco Radio and Television Corp. and the broadcaster was the American Broadcasting Company. BC Archives created recording by copying Parts 1, 2 and 3 from two original audio discs.

Records within the time capsule include photographs, letter from the President, Ladies's Auxiliary annual report, programs and brochures, film footage related to the Bing Crosby fundraising events and construction of Sunset Memorial Centre building, as well as contemporaneous newspaper issues and advertising clippings, and a Lion's International club badge and pin.

Cornett; performing at Sunset Community Centre site and turning the sod at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building; attending a Squamish First Nations ceremony at the Forum where he was made "Chief of Thunder Voice"; and playing golf at the Capilano Golf Club.

Item is a copy reel created from original discs containing a recording of an edited broadcast of Bing Crosby in Vancouver. The recording documents Bing Crosby visit to Vancouver for the sod-turning ceremony at the Sunset Community Centre, CJOR announcer Dorwin Baird at Great Northern Station, Crosby's appearance at train station, Crosby's speech at City Hall. The following day: Crosby sings "Blues in the Night", ceremony at Sunset Centre where Crosby sings "Blue Skies" and the turning of first sod.
