[Entrance to Stanley Park]

Item is a piece of a souvenir envelope or folder printed with images of Stanley Park scenery. This postcard was addressed to Master Wallace [McEachern?] of Alberni, B.C. Appears to be part of larger set, along with AM1052 P-1071.2

[Members of 1st Canadian Reserve]

Item is a postcard printed with an image of a group of army members sitting and standing in rows in front of the corrugated metal external wall of a building. Handwritten text at the bottom of the image is difficult to read in its entirety. One part of the top line reads "1st Canadian Reserve." One of the two handwritten annotations on the verso reads, "Taken at Shorncliff Reserve Camp - 1915, before leaving again for France in Sept after our wounds healed. Keep for your records." The other annotation reads, "See letter from Frank Martin July 30, 1965".

[To my dear sweetheart]

Item is a postcard to which an embroidered pocket is attached. Inside the pocket is a handkerchief, and behind the handkerchief is a note printed with the phrase, "To my dear Sweetheart." The embroidery is of foliage, berries, shamrocks, and various national flags. A romantic message is written on the verso: "Dear Edna[,] don't blush when you read inside or I will have to come over to you and don't use the hanky till I come back [-] from Ernie." This postcard belongs to a type known as "silks," which were made in France and bought by Allied soldiers during the First World War

[Two views of Vancouver Harbour]

Item is a postcard printed with two images of the Vancouver waterfront on Burrard Inlet. The top image, "Vancouver Harbor from Stanley Park," shows boats and ships in Coal Harbour; the Marine Building is visible in the background. The bottom image,"View of Vancouver, B.C., waterfront skyline," depicts downtown buildings (including the Marine Building, the second Hotel Vancouver, and the third Hotel Vancouver), and steamships moored at the C.P.R. docks. This postcard includes personal correspondence. Sent to Wallbridge & Co. in Vancouver from Margaret.

Agriculture in British Columbia

Item is a postcard. The four images on the recto are respectively captioned, "Cattle on a Chilcotin range," "A typical farmyard scene," "Poultry pay the farmer well," and "Sheep grazing on the uplands." On the verso are printed four paragraphs of text relating to the state of agriculture in British Columbia and promoting the benefits of farming. A fifth paragraph reads, "For more information, agricultural booklets, and pre-emption maps write Bureau of Provincial Information, Victoria, B.C., Canada."
