Item is a postcard showing an image of the Kitsilano Showboat. Caption on back of postcard: "The Kitsilano Showboat has to date completed over 30 years of beach entertainment, sponsored by the Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce. Over a quarter million people attend this amateur show and over 2,500 entertainers volunteer their services each season. From early June to late August, this great little show goes on nearly every evening from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. midst beautiful surroundings. You are cordially invited to attend the Kitsilano Showboat at Kitsilano Beach. Drive south on Burrard Street across the bridge turn right, 4 blocks to free parking. Mon., Wed., Fri. at 8:00 p.m. different show each night."

Vancouver Jubilee

Item is a promotional film showing the Diamond Jubilee celebration events, a brief history of Vancouver and concludes with footage of Vancouver after 1945. The film shows historical photographs of Vancouver and focuses on various aspects of development in Vancouver including industry, media, communications, transportation, power plants, city planning, city governance, tourism and architecture.

The film was commissioned by the Vancouver Jubilee Publicity Committee and later sponsored by the British Columbia Electric Company Ltd.

This film is a re-print made by the Vancouver Museum in the late 1970's for a program called "Vancouver's Heritage in Film".

Kits Day [VPD Police dog show and VW over Lions Gate]
