Item is a postcard showing Lillian Jackson at English Bay in 1912. There is a photocopied note accompanying the image: "Miss Lillian Jackson 1912, English Bay. Later Mrs. Alex Hogg. Mother of Irene Lawrence. This picture taken on the beach at English Bay, Vancouver in 1912. Notice the old bath houses, the long pier (on the left) leading to the popular dance floor. The building under construction in the background is the Sylvia Hotel. The management of the Sylvia Hotel was so intrigued with this post card picture that they borrowed it and had it blown up, quite large, and the finished pictures are hanging in several areas of the hotel."

From early June to late August, this great little show goes on nearly every evening from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. midst beautiful surroundings. You are cordially invited to attend the Kitsilano Showboat at Kitsilano Beach. Drive south on Burrard Street across the bridge turn right, 4 blocks to free parking. Mon., Wed., Fri. at 8:00 p.m. different show each night."

Footage includes the wedding party and guests of Ann and Peter Cherniavsky arriving and mingling outside of the church, Peter and Ann Cherniavsky picnicking and site seeing, and baby portraits being taken of Alix Cherniavsky (daughter of Peter and Ann). Also shown is a trip to Ozama, Dominican Republic including swimming scenes at the beach and pool, a Christmas party and locals singing, dancing and fishing.
