Committees

Series contains minutes, reports, financial records, correspondence, publications and other records of the various committees that made up the Amalgamated Construction Association (excluding the Executive Committee).

Divisions

Series contains minutes and related records produced by the three divisions (general contractors, trade contractors, and manufacturers and suppliers) of the Amalgamated Construction Association.

Directories

Series consists of directories and buyers' guides published by the Amalgamated Construction Association, the British Columbia Construction Association and the Vancouver Regional Construction Association. The directories list officers and members of the associations as well as accredited contractors, architects, consulting engineers, other trade and professional associations, Canadian Construction Association officers, members of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia, and officers and members of the Northern British Columbia Construction Association, the Southern Interior Construction Association and the Vancouver Island Construction Association. Advertising for construction-related trades and lists of suppliers, contractors, etc., are also included. Not all directories contain all of these elements.

Construction sightlines

Series consists of issues of Construction Sightlines, a semi-annual magazine published by Naylor Communications of Vancouver. The publication routinely included notices and other articles provided by the Amalgamated Construction Association and the British Columbia Construction Association.

Predecessor organizations

Series contains records pertaining to the following predecessor organizations of the Amalgamated Construction Association: the Heavy Construction Association of British Columbia, the Vancouver General Contractors Association, the Vancouver Builders Exchange and the Vancouver Construction Association. Records include minutes of general and annual meetings, some committee and Board of Directors meeting minutes, and a reference manual.

Series consists of photographs taken mainly at events hosted or sponsored by the Amalgamated Construction Association, the Vancouver Regional Construction Association and other related organizations. Many of the photographs are portraits of Boards of Directors, Executive Committees and other groups, but the series also includes numerous individual portraits. Series also contains photographs of buildings and construction in Vancouver and British Columbia, including those submitted to photographic competitions.
