Includes slides relating to the following: (K) April 6th (2011-010.561 to 2011-010.727); (L) Vancouver AM sign unveiling (2011-010.728 to 2011-010.743); (M) Fools parade (2011-010.744 to 2011-010.762); (N) Tillicum's birthday party (2011-010.763 to 2011-010.770); (P) Chinese New Year (2011-010.771 to 2011-010.801); (Q) Tillicum at Lougheed Mall (2011-010.802 to 2011-010.820); and (R) Tony Onley at Agency Press (2011-010.821 to 2011-010.838). April 6th events and activities depicted include the arrival of Governor General Jeanne Sauve at the train station; the birthday celebration at Brockton Point, Stanley Park, including the cutting of the birthday cake; re-dedication of the fountain at Lost Lagoon; fireworks; and a formal dinner.

Photos used to make commemorative photo montage for Commissioners & staff
File consists of three strips of 35 mm negatives containing sixteen images, two single image negatives, seven duplicate colour transparencies containing nine images, and six prints. Includes photographs of the Fraser Wilson mural event, the police band performing in Gastown, Tillicum and Centennial Commissioners in front of City Hall, celebratory fireworks, Mayor Michael Harcourt posing with Centennial gifts sent to Vancouver from around the world, the birthday party at Stanley Park, Princess Diana and Prince Charles at City Hall, and Governor General Jeanne Sauve.
File consists of six contact sheets with a total of 197 images of the Distinguished Pioneer Awards ceremony held at Hotel Vancouver and prints of four of these images. Includes many images of Governor General Jeanne Sauve handing out the awards. Prints include an image of Sauve presenting an award to Mr. Rice, images of the officials attending, and a view of the seated recipients. Individuals identified are Governor General Jeanne Sauve, Mr. Rice, Mayor Michael Harcourt and Vancouver Centennial Commission Chairman Michael Francis.

Photographs depict the celebrations in Stanley Park on April 6, 1986, Mayor Michael Harcourt and Governor General Jeanne Sauve at the Centennial Ball, and Harcourt visiting the first baby born on April 6th. Photographs also show members of Vancouver City Council, including Gordon Campbell and Harry Rankin, as well as other politicians, including Pat Carney.

Item is a newsreel documenting the visit of Governor-General his excellency the Right Honourable the Earl of Bessborough, PC, GCMG, and her excellency the Countess of Bessborough with Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Hamber to the Britannia Mines. The film shows footage of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Hamber arriving at Ballantyne Pier; meeting with the members of the Vancouver Harbour Commission (President S. McClay, Commissioner J. B. Thomas, and Commissioner R. D. Williams); greeting his excellency the Right Honourable the Earl of Bessborough and her excellency the Countess of Bessborough; and boarding their yacht Vencedor; the Britannia Mines band and Mr. C. P. Browning, manager of the Britannia Mines, officially receiving the visiting party at the Britannia Mines piers; and the visiting party inspecting the concentration and machine shop at the Britannia Mines. The film also includes images of the Vancouver skyline and the BC coastline taken during the seavoyage to and from the Britannia Mines, an aerial views of Britannia Beach and Howe Sound, as well an official shot of the crew of the Vencedor yacht.
