Drake (on charges against Malcolm Stewart, Chief of Police); handwritten (pencil) minutes of Board of Police Commissioners (2 Sept. 1889); and a few other items. Originals difficult to decipher.

File contains sworn statement regarding Officer Fyfe and a series of handwritten audit reports on the special audit of the Police accounts by the City Auditor (John Devine).

425 Westminster Avenue (Main Street), Vancouver, B.C. [Market Hall]

File consists of architectural drawings of Market Hall (later the second City Hall, commonly referred to as "Old City Hall"). The drawings depict floor plans, elevations, sections and details, and the file includes a number of unattributed drawings depicting various alterations and additions to the building, most likely created by the City's Engineer's Office.

City officials

File contains a report to the Board of Police Commissioners from the License Inspector and letters to the Mayor and aldermen from the Chief of Police (21 Jan. and 23 Sept. 1889).

Police Department

File contains a statement from the City Auditor, correspondence from external auditors, a report on the Officer H. Fyfe inquiry written by M.W.T. Drake (Q.C.), an affadavit in charges against Officer Fyfe, and a complaint written by John Abrams. Originals difficult to decipher.

Agreements

File includes agreements with Vancouver Street Railway Company and Vancouver Electric Illuminating Company.
