Fonds consists of 40 photographs, mainly of unidentified individuals who may have been related to Peggy Perfitt or who worked at Gault Brothers Ltd., a local textiles manufacturing and sales firm. Some of the photographs were taken on board an unidentified vessel, possibly the Prince George, and some were taken at English Bay. Two photographs show the fire at C.P.R. pier D on July 27, 1938, and two photographs are of the ship Prince George.

The fonds consists of textual records and photographs relating to the concerns and actions of the West Southlands Ratepayers Association. Minutes of annual general meetings as well as special meetings from 1981 to 2005 in rough and completed form. Also, portions of the minutes from the Fraser River Coalition in draft form are included. Full and partial membership lists over several years show that citizens were often members of both organizations. Brochures, pamphlets, notes and newspaper clippings are grouped into areas of interest or concern generally concerning environmental issues, zoning and land-use or wildlife within the area of Southlands such as: Deering Island, Vancouver International Airport, Musqueam Park, UBC, and Pacific Spirit Regional Park. West Southlands Ratepayers Association produced a community newsletter as well as brochures outlining these issues and concerns as well as providing a history of the area.
Correspondence to and from the association with the following: Point Grey Golf and Country Club, Vancouver City Development Permit Board, Vancouver Parks and Recreation, UBC Board of Govenors, Fish and Oceans Canada, Office of the City Clerk, Park Users Against Off-Leash Commercial Dog Groups and Lower Mainland Residents.
The photographs show land-use in Musqueam Park, Deering Island and the Celtic Slough as well as the naming ceremony of June's Pond in the Musqueam Park Wetland.

The records were acquired and created by Richard Dopson through his work with the Metropolitan Vancouver Athletics and Arts Association, the Vancouver Gay Volleyball Association, the Federation of Gay Games, and Team Vancouver, and document the administration and operations of these associations.

Limited Railway Contractors during contracts with the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway in Prince Rupert, and along the harbour in North Vancouver. Films also include footage of downtown Prince Rupert; family, friends, and social activities; Vancouver area scenery and attractions, including Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge, a parade downtown, a military parade and medals ceremony at Victory Square, and a rodeo at Hastings Park; Vancouver Fire Department vehicles; the Victoria, B.C. inner harbour; a dog show; a trip to Cuba; the 1930 Portland Rose Festival parade; the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles; as well as footage of the Magoffins’ home “Rockhaven,” its construction, and their golden retrievers. Goold family films consist of one film showing a childrens' performance and individuals exiting a church after a christening, and one film containing footage of a family trip to eastern Canada, including a visit to Expo '67 in Montreal, and various tourist attractions in South Dakota and Wyoming.

Fonds consists of films photographed and collected by Douglas Scott, predominantly documenting his time living in Hong Kong (China), Victoria (B.C.), and Kamloops (B.C.). The majority of the films document the life of an expatriate family in Hong Kong during the interwar period, rural and urban Hong Kong, and later life in Victoria. Subjects include Scott's first wife, Margaret Scott, and daughter, also named Margaret, as well as boats and ships, the ocean, gardens, and examples of the film medium. Some films appear to document Scott's work with the Texas Company (Texaco), the British America Paint Company (Bapco), the Far East Aviation Co., and his own photography supply business (Scott Camera Co.) in Victoria. The films capture a number of noteworthy events, such as the royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Victoria in 1939, King George V's Silver Jubilee parade in Hong Kong in 1935, and construction of the Pattullo Bridge in New Westminster (B.C.).

The collection contains examples of Gordon Inglis and Alan Shiveral's early work together at the community television station Vancouver East NTV with the program “Free Wheelin' with Alan Shiveral,” as well as the CBC program it would evolve into with the formation of Around the Bend Productions, “Cycle!”. This program featured the talents of five-time Olympian Charmaine Crooks, cyclist Joan Jones, and reporter Winston Brown. Both shows are informational programs which educate viewers about cycling, including cycling technique, the mechanics of bicycles, the cycling community and lifestyle, cycling products, cycling safety, and popular cycling locations and events.

The collection also contains an example of Around the Bend Productions' forays into other subject matter with the pilot of “In Conversation with Charmaine,” which was to feature conversations with influential British Columbians and was hosted by Charmaine Crooks.
