A happy Christmas

Item is a postcard to which an embroidered pocket is attached. Inside the pocket is a note printed with the phrase, "To my dear sweetheart." The embroidery is of foliage, flowers, a bell with a Union Jack on it, and a house. A message is written in pencil on the verso. This postcard belongs to a type known as "silks," which were made in France and bought by Allied soldiers during the First World War

Item is a postcard. The four images on the recto are respectively captioned, "Cattle on a Chilcotin range," "A typical farmyard scene," "Poultry pay the farmer well," and "Sheep grazing on the uplands." On the verso are printed four paragraphs of text relating to the state of agriculture in British Columbia and promoting the benefits of farming. A fifth paragraph reads, "For more information, agricultural booklets, and pre-emption maps write Bureau of Provincial Information, Victoria, B.C., Canada."
