Photograph album, 1907-1918

Item is a photograph album showing various scenes of family, friends, classmates, school events, Provincial Normal School boys' and girls' basketball teams, leisure activities, Labour Day parades; geographic areas include around Vancouver and the lower mainland including English Bay and Second Beach, as well as various locations from around the province such as Victoria, Buccaneer Bay, Armstrong, Vernon, Harrison and other sites. The album also includes photographs showing ships and soldiers in uniform from World War I, including Witley Camp, England and Signal Hill in Esquimalt, B.C., including portraits and group photographs.

File consists of photographs assembled in an album by L.D. Taylor. Includes photographs relating to Taylor's personal life, including photographs of himself, Annie and Ted Taylor while living in Fairview and photographs of family and friends, as well as photographs of Taylor's fishing expeditions and his 1929 world tour. File also includes photographs relating to Taylor's public life, including a 1915 portrait of himself with two aldermen, visits of state, community events, the 1926 Vancouver Board of Trade tour of the Southern interior of British Columbia, a 1928 trip to Edmonton, and his participation in the Cleveland Water Commission

Item is a photograph album consisting of two parts, the first made up of 43 photographs taken by Robert Strain showing his trip around the world, including Egypt, India, and Singapore. The second part of the album is 38 photographs taken by Gilchrist showing scenes in Vancouver and other parts of British Columbia including various sites in Stanley Park, English Bay, Second and Third Beach, Alexandra Park, Cultus Lake, Howe Sound, Cheewasin [Tsawwassen] and other regions.

File is a photograph album that belonged to Society members Mr. and Mrs. Johns (Samuel Curtis Johns and Elizabeth Johns) showing camp trips and excursions around British Columbia and the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, including Botanie Mountain, Savary Island, Cameron Lake, Garibaldi, Grouse, Hollyburn Ridge, Burnaby Lake, Brockton Point, Lulu Island and other sites. Photographs also show various plant species and bird eggs and nests.

Includes photographs of the East Kootenay Power Company on the Elk River, West Kootenay Power Company at Bonnington, Lower Bonnington Power Plant, Crow's Nest Coal Company, Dominion Experimental Station in Summerland, Eldorado Arms Hotel, Sicamous Hotel, Kootenay National Park, Invermere and Oliver.

Item is a film which contains several color commercials from B.C. Sugar Refining Company's 1975 television advertising campaign. According to the list accompanying the reel, the contained commercials are as follows: 1. Sugar - Sweetness - Manitoba Ending, :60; 2. Sugar - Birthday Cake - Manitoba Ending, :30; [3. Sugar - Sugar Daddy - Manitoba Ending, :30]; [4.] Sugar - Birthday Cake - Alberta Ending, :30; [5.] Sugar - Birthday Cake - B.C. Ending, :30; [6.] Sugar - Sweetness - Alberta Ending, :60. The third commercial was not included in the list, and the title has been supplied from a list accompanying a different reel with the same commercial. All six commercials feature the same backing song, "Call On Your Sweetie, Sugar," and depict family moments made better by sugar.

Item is an industrial film presented by the Canadian Sugar Factories Company. The film documents the agricultural process of beet plantation and sugar beet extraction and manufacturing processes. Locations appear to be at farms in BC, and at a sugar factory in Alberta. Individuals involved include: Rod Parkhurst (camera), Rick Allen (lighting), Lou Williams (lighting), Paul Abram (grip), A.L. Lazenby (script), Al Jordan (narration), Tom Ashdown (animation) and Lloyd Strump (producer/director). Original reel also contains 59 seconds of "Summer sunshine for winter menus" at beginning of reel.
