Individuals in this photograph are (from left to right): (back row) Harry L. Burgess (90 years of age on May 5, 1975), Tom Holmes (91 years of age on April 7, 1975, Harry T Ducker (90 years of age on Jan. 1, 1976), (front row) Ed Granville (92 years of age on June 6, 1975), Miss Amy Low (87 years of age on June 26, 1975), and Charles F.M. Steele (89 years of age on August 6, 1975, and was born in Vancouver.)

The newly constructed fence and billboards are visible at the southeast corner of the intersection in the upper right corner, but the road widening and other improvements have not been completed.

The awnings and partial storefronts of Stella Mae's Dressmaking and Ed's Fish & Chips are visible along the sidewalk leading up to Knight Street on the right. Diagonally across the Kingsway and Knight Street intersection several local businesses can be seen, including the Wayside Barber Shop, Sun Chong & Co., and Flemons.
