Presented to City of Vancouver by the Vancouver Daily Province, June 13, 1951"; these records are the Coroner's Precept, the Inquisition, and records of evidence submitted. The inquest was held on 14 June 1886, summoned by J.C. Hughes, Coroner, and conducted before twelve jurors. The victims were John Craswell and others.

Collection also includes a judgement of the Lords of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council on the appeal of the City of Vancouver vs. the Vancouver Lumber Company (and Theodore Ludgate) and on an appeal from the Court of Appeal of British Columbia. Also included is a receipt for the forwarding of legal documents to the Registrar of the Privy Council in England and correspondence pertaining to the island's lease.
