Item is a documentary film documenting Gastown and the VanDusen Botanical Display Garden. Film includes footage taken in Gastown of the Captain John "Gassy Jack" Deighton statue, Hotel Europe, Water Street, the Old Spaghetti Factory, Vancouver Harbour Centre, SS Beaver replica at its moorings, Frisby's Restaurant, Seven Seas Imports, The Coggery, Gaslight Square (131 Water Street), the Gastown Steam Clock. The film also includes footage of a number of signs of Gastown businesses and places including Bootlegger, The Dublin House Irish Fashions, Tiffany Coiffures, Brother John's Restaurant, Cottage Deli Soup 'n' Sandwich, and Blood Alley Square. The film also includes footage taken at VanDusen Botanical Display Garden including shots of the entrance sign, parking lot, administration building, garden entrance, flowers, several ponds, a fountain, MacMillan Bloedel Place, children feeding geese, pavilions, ducks, swans, a bee, and a blue heron.
