He was enrolled in No. 5 Co., British Columbia Brigade of Garrison Artillery[B.C.B.G.A.], old Drill Shed, Pender St., 17 January 1894; the second night of organisation of first volunteer unit in Vancouver. Afterwards Alderman for several years. Brother of His Worship Fred Buscombe, mayor. In 1944, of 'Buscombe & Co' Ltd, and resides 2050 Comox St.". Studio portrait
