Jericho Charlie, a Squamish Native Indian, freighted camp supplies to Jerry Rogers, a logger on the Point Grey peninsula in the late 1800s. The supplies were brought from Vancouver across English Bay in a canoe called "Houmiltichesen". This canoe was purchased by the British Columbia Loggers' Association and the Consolidated Red Cedar Shingle Association of British Columbia from August Jack, a stepson of Jericho Charlie, about 1943.
